Your "Windows Security Center" may be alerting you that you are UN-protected against virus threats. While you DO need an anti-SPYWARE program, you ALSO need anti-VIRUS protection; you ALSO need a FIREWALL and or/a SANDBOX, and a TROJAN SCANNER/TROJAN REMOVER, and even a ROOTKIT SCANNER/REMOVER. Not to be an alarmist, but the ONLY "safe" computer is one with no outside connection! Two of the best anti-spyware programs are free: Ad-Aware and SuperAntiSpyware. One of the best anti-virus programs is also free: AVG free Virus protection is not the same as spyware protection.
