Why is it so annoying to find the right flavour of Linux?

I am looking for an OS I can dual boot with Vista that can work with all my hardware and can do everything Vista can do, and alot more, like virtualization of OS and virtualization of Senarious (like scientific stuff or like graphic wize), I can still do programming, and graphics, and also I can do Research on the Unknown, plus I want a decent desktop, good looking and is easy to use
What flavour is sutable for me?

Any of the full distributions. The limit on Linux is your own imagination.
Well, if u like how Windows is setup, try Kubuntu or OPENSuse, Ubuntu if u dnt mind Gnome, and Freespire. And search the scientific programs online to see if there’s any.
But, if u dnt wanna switch from Linux and want something better than Vista, I suggest Windows 7 Beta. It’s faster but has same features and more than Vista!
I don’t think any flavour is suitable for you.
It sounds as if you want a free version of Windows.
Linux isn’t Windows. It’s something else entirely. Even Mac OS X can’t do everything Vista can do and a lot more.
Each OS has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Ubuntu, definitely for beginners.
I love the features and security. And it’s really easy to dual boot with if you use the Wubi program.
