How can I stop Spyware Protect 2009 Alerts from popping up in my computer?

Yesterday my computer had this Spyware Protect 2009 alerts popping up in my computer each minute. I know it’s a scam but I don’t knoiw how to remove it. I don’t want to buy it and I want to stop it from popping up in my computer. How do I get it out? I need step by step directions that I can easily understand.

you have Conficker is now parading as an anti-virus program called Spyware Protect 2009. The worm takes users to a fake secuirty Web site, asks them to pay $50 for a spyware program that actually is the Conficker worm, then keeps your credit card information, to boot. "It infects your computer," she told Smith. "And it keeps that $50."
I have had this problem too what i did i went and found me a protection with everything what i found works the best is ca security center if you scan a few times and restart when it tells you to it should be gone it a little while and don’t worry its nothing thats can harm your computer so don’t get frustrated like i did if it doesn’t go away the first time
Check to see if it is installed onto your computer. If it is Uninstall it immediately.
