How can I get my Xbox 360 to give me the Red Circle of Death?
My xbox 360 scratches my disks and occasionally freezes. I called Microsoft and told them this, but they said my warranty expired a year ago and I would have to pay for the repair. However, if you have a red circle of death, the warranty is covered for 3 years! So, I am trying to actually get the circle of death in order to have my console sent in and fixed.

Put your 360 on it’s side and cover the fans/vents with something so that the inside will overheat. This is what causes the RROD to happen.
Honestly you can’t. Make sure you don’t open the 360, or they will never fix it even if you do get the RROD. You can try overheating it, but I would not recommend it. This could lead to bigger problems.
You can say you already have the RROD and get the box for it and send it in. It worked for my friend but I think he just got lucky.
what causes it is the overheating of a small chip under the radiator. When it gets too hot, the cheap solder can melt and screw up connections. I’d try the towel-wrap trick. Or what you could do is find an old DVD or game you wouldn’t miss, turn off the auto-off in console settings, and play it, leave the console on 24/7 with the towel-wrap trick.
The no ventilation and extra heat caused by the constant spinning of the disc drive should cook it in no time!
Wrap it in a towel and wait for it to start flashing 2 red lights. When this happens whack the bottom of the system a few times really hard. (when the xbox is sitting flat on the ground)
The cpu and gpu will get around 320 degrees or so and melting point of solder is about 478 i think. So if you get it hot enough and hit it enough there is a good chance to get 3 red lights.
just smack it around, cover the vents, and leave it on over night
