How to make a short cut to the Windows 7 scanning software?
In Windows 7 there is a simple scanning program. Click on Start > All Programs > Windows fax and scanning. Then click Scan. A simple scanning software comes up. How can a make a shortcut directly to this simple scanning program?

Hi!
1. Have it pinned on your Start Menu (recommended)
Type "fax" in the Power Search in the Start Menu, to spawn Windows Fax & Scan. Right- click on the icon and select Pin to Start Menu.
2. Have it anywhere else.
Copy and paste "%windir%\system32\WFS.exe" in Power Search (that’s in the Start Menu), then right- click "WFS", select "Open File Location" and right click and select "Create Shortcut". Finally, cut and copy the shortcut it to your desired location.
These methods don’t only work for this application, but any application, if you use the Power Search.
Hope this helps,

Drag and drop onto your laptop from the start menu, this will automatically create a shortcut!
