The laptop I got the Windows 7 upgrade disks for was stolen, but I still recieved the disks yesterday.
The disks are for a TX2-1027ca that came with Vista home premium, but now I have a DV5-1007ca with Vista home premium.
The disks are still sealed in the package, and the licence hasn’t been used, so if I try to use these disks on the dv5, will it work?

yes they all should. If the licence has not been used it should work. I use my dell window’s disk to all of my computers. So it will work. =]
Yes you should have no problem but I would do a "Clean Install" instead of the upgrade.
Here’s how to do a clean install using upgrade discs:

HP upgrade disks are model specific. This only means that the correct drivers for all the hardware are avaiable on this disk. You can try to load it – it may work but you may need to load correct drivers as well.
