xbox 360???

does any one know if there is a way to hook the 360 in to you computer to get on to xbox live with out going thru the router. such as a strait conection, thru the usb or motem, to motem??
the eason i’m asking i’m on a wirless system,, and the router is in a differant room, and don’t feel like buying a 50 foot cable just to hook it up,, and i’m not spening 100 buck on the wireless adaptor for it.

Yes you can. You would utilize a feature in windows called "Internet Connection Sharing" The steps are confusing to list here, and it is better to use the Wizard to perform it anyway.
To get to the instructions on the computer, click start, then "help and Support". Search for "ICS" (The acronym for Internet Connection Sharing)
Then select "Enable Internet Connection Sharing on a network connection" and follow the steps. You would connect the Xbox by using the ethernet port on your PC and the xbox would share the PC Wireless.

You have to go thru a modem or a Router no way around it sorry
