I just installed Windows 7 and now everytime I try to watch a video it freezes the window What do i do?
Everytime I try to watch a streamed video, like a youtube clip or facebook clip the window freezes and it says it is "Not Responding." I think this has something to do with the fact that Windows 7 runs as a 64-bit and the videos run through a 32-bit system or something to that effect. I have tried downloading Adobe Flash Player 10 multiple times and it says I have downloaded it correctly but the problem persists.

I agree with Marco your video card is probably not fully compatible with Windows 7 as u see it is not the wonderful product Microsoft promised and if more compatible than Vista has a super long way to be as compatible to nearly everything as XP

Hi,
Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with the flash plugin, websites or streaming video. It could be that your Graphics Card (like mine did) does not support the 64- bit Windows 7 and your Graphics Card supports 32- bit only. I had the same issue with my NVIDIA® GeForceT 6700 XL Graphics card. Hence, if you do not have "server error" or the like on YouTube, but it says the error "not responding", this means it has to do with your Graphics Card.
First, search for your Graphics Card on the Windows 7 Compatibility website:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Browse.aspx?type=Hardware&category=Graphics%20Cards%20%26%20Components&subcategory=Graphics%20Cards&os=64-bit.
Second, find your Graphics Card in Device Manager.
Go to Power Search and type in "device manager". I you see exclamation mark behind the GC, then you should try to update the driver.
Third, if updating the driver does not solve the issue, find the driver of the GC manufacturer and perform a clean installation. To do this download the newest driver, uninstall the current driver. In device manager select the GC and select "unistall driver". Next you install the newest driver and reboot your PC. This should work.
Four: If this does not work, you should buy a new (64- bit compatible) Graphics Card.
OR you should try a new browser, like (the newest) Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer
.
Hope this helps,

Hello Christian,
Marco has a great suggestion, it could be your Graphics Card is incompatible with your system or it could be as simple as an outdated driver. For more information about compatibility check your card here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx. For correcting a driver issues get more information here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly.
Good Luck!
