You should buy the wireless adapter because of a way better connection and with ethernet you usually have to find your computers ip adress and enter it manually when testing the connection.
not ALL xbox’s come with 1 month free of xbox live so you should do that on xbox.com, also for the best gaming experience get the 60 gb hard drive because it does not break easily and it is not that much compared to the elite version.
Yes, you could connect it to your laptop. However, I would reccomend buying a longer ethernet or relocating your router somehwere that it can reach both your PC and your 360.
For your second question, the first 3 gamertags (live acounts) you make on your xbox will have a 1 month free.
Ya but it would lag terribly just get a 100 ft cable and connet that to you router or just move ure xbox
not to be a fanboy or anything but i think you will be better of getting a PS3.Ps3 is better and u should see the games for it. it just so much more and fun. There killzone2, resistance, littlebigplanet, MGS4, motarstorm and so much more including all the popular muitliplatform games like GTA4 and COD 4. and also ps3 online is free and u can creat as many as you want. In reality , PSN is just as good as xbox live just xbox live might be little easier and simplier but still offers the same experice and features. Since wireless is built in you have to buy it and iff you look at it, after you buy online for xbox and play charge kit and rechagAble batteries pack(trust me you dont want batteires) and even wireless internet, it will $100 more for the xbox then as if you got a PS3. PS3 has everything you need builtin except for a headset. there both good but money wish and what you get the most use out of, Ps3 is just a no- brainer and with killer titles that are new, this is definatly a better console. unforunataly, u have to pay for so many assesories for xbox so either you have to pay or play offline local games or campagne mode for ever. Or you can get a PS3 and get all the features right out of the box.
Yes, you can use an ethernet cable to connect your Xbox 360 using your laptop’s wireless internet connection. Just take an ethernet cable (some Xbox 360 bundles come with one called a "System link cable") and plug one end into the Xbox’s ethernet port and the other into your laptop’s ethernet port. Then if you’re running Windows XP on your laptop, go to Network Settings in the Start Menu and highlight your wireless internet connection and your wired (broadband) connection. Now right-click either highlighted connection and select "bridge connections". Make sure your Xbox 360 sees the connection as a broadband connection, and you’re good to go.
As for the free month of Xbox Live Gold, if you live in Canada or the U.S., you should have no problem getting one month free per gamertag account-ish thing.
