Is it legal to buy windows 7 from an online retailer other than microsoft?
I need to buy Windows 7 Professional, but I need to save on the money. I have noticed that there are other on line companies that sells it for a better price, but how can I trust the seller?
I am talking about those from where you download.

You can buy it from where you like, it doesn’t have to be bought from Microsoft. If you’re worried about trusting the seller, stick to well known online retailers like Amazon and Newegg. Avoid copies from torrent sites or filesharing sites like Rapidshare, unless you enjoy rebuilding computers and getting regular crashes and blue screens, and they’re illegal too. Simply put, as long as you make sure you have a genuine CD and keycode, you’ll be fine.
Of course. Staples, Worst…er I mean Best Buy, Office Max and a dozen online sellers.
Back in July I got my copies from NewEgg.
They are all reputable.
But beware of sites that let you download only. get a disk with COA and key.
Also, (I assume from your user name), look for a site that sells Academic versions, upgrades, or pricing. It will save you a lot of money.
