How can i convert windows vista movie maker files to windows 7.?

I have windows vista movie maker files in my desktop. But my laptop has windows 7. How can i play them in my laptop.

If the files you have on your desktop are Windows Movie Maker (v2.6 for Vista) project files, which are in MSWMM format, then they can only be opened in the 2.6 version of the program.
Windows 7 has Windows Live Essentials that uses Windows Live Movie Maker, which can’t open v2.6 MSWMM files unfortunately. What I would suggest is that you download and install the v2.6 version of WMM for Vista from the link below:

You can have both the 2.6 version of Windows Movie Maker and Windows Live Movie Maker on your laptop at the same time, since they are both stand-alone programs. Once you have the 2.6 version downloaded, import your MSWMM files from your desktop into the program… then Publish them.
Once they are Published, you can import them into Windows Live Movie Maker for further editing, etc.
