If you are logged on as an administrator you can change the password policy settings for your computer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Change-password-policy-settings.

I would not recommend removing the password completely because it is great security measure to have in place. More about security here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/taking-control-of-computer-security

Hope you are enjoying Windows 7!

Cheers,

Here's what I'd do with Windows Vista. This turns on AutoLogin.

Do this:

1.Click the Windows button.
2. In the text box, enter

control userpasswords2

and press Enter.

3.In the list box, select the user you want to be automatically logged in on a boot.
4.Uncheck the Users must enter a user name checkbox. (If it’s already unchecked, check it, then uncheck it again. Sounds stupid, but it's important. Make sure the user selected stayed where you wanted it.)
5.Click the Apply button.
6.An Automatically Log On dialog box will appear. Enter the user’s password in the two text boxes, then click the OK button.

The change should take effect the next time you boot up.

Note that this will not bypass the login screen if you log out but do not turn off or reboot the machine.
