New video card?
I have not been able to pay attention to technology for the last 2 and a half years. Currently I have a Radeon x850 XT. I got into the Universe at War beta, and it seems my computer can’t handle it as much as I would like it to be able to. So I am upgrading the card. Any recommendations?
I paid about 400 bucks for my card when I got it from newegg, I was looking on the site today and saw that the cost has gone down quite alot. I am looking to pay like 250 max for the next card, ATI or nvidia, what ever one you would personally recommend.
Just want to add that I am planning on upgrading my monitor to a 21/22 inch lcd (something like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001096)
pci-express by the way… sorry
I have 2 gigs of ram currently and plan on adding 1 more gig in the next few months. My HD has 200 gigs free. Temp folders are deleted regularly and I defrag once a week. I can run command and conquer 3 on high pretty well, but UaW is a little sluggish. Pretty sure it is because of my video card.

First add as much SD RAM as you can to the mother board. Then see how well your video card works. If you don’t like that result. delete all Temp files and defrag the drive. See how much room is on the drive,if it is near full nothing can be done until you get a bigger drive or uninstall a mess of programs.
