Windows 95 & 98 where designed to run on now called primitive computers compared to today technology.
So if I install windows 95 on my current new PC will it be a faster os than win7?

Do NOT install Win95 on any computer.
Microsoft doesn’t support it any longer, so you can’t get updates/patches that you need.
Win98 is more stable (but also not supported), so you can try that instead.
some of the newer software may not work with Win 95/98, and forget about installing past DirectX 7 or IE 6. it just won’t work.
Difficult, a lot of drivers for newer hardware will not be available, and if it ends up using compatibility (DOS mode) disk access, that will put a dampener on performance.
Windows 7 is the best Windows since XP, XP was the best since 98SE, and 98SE was the best since Windows 3.11 / WfWG 3.11.
Windows 7 is well tuned, fast starting, and would be hard to beat, given the aggravation of trying to persuade a legacy OS to run well (or at all) on recent hardware.
It would be faster but Windows 95 is obsolete and chances of it even working on your current computer (due to lack of drivers and chicset incompatibility it will most likey not even work but if u got it to work fully yes it would be faster than Windows 7
Oh in many cases yes- The windows and its counterparts were made when 256mb would be "Insane" RAM to have! I have a old wolfenstein game made around that time- Its like trying to keep up with Rabbits with Guns! The characters are VERY FAST! In generl like the win 95 Games- they run "Normal" and very effeicently.. Certain things like the IE browser will open like "normal"cuz it takes what it NEEDS. Your CPU will run in "Sleep Mode" while your using win 95.. When I sold my Win95 and WIn98 CD’s my customers were putting them on newer machines.. They ran like TANKS according to them.. Ive done it and its alot of FUN!
