I have A student version of windows 7 professional. I installed Windows 7 student version on my desktop but I also need it on my laptop for school. May I install it on my laptop now or do I have to purchase another disk. I am only allowed to purchase one disk as a student though.

Sorry to say but you only get one install per license of windows 7.
I know you are talking about the edu discounted copy and I know for a fact that you can only install it on one pc at a time (there are ways around it but that is a violation of the license)
STUDENT VERSION? NEITHER MICROSOFT KNOWS ABOUT THAT BUT ANYWAYS E-MAIL ME FOR DETAILS
It will install on as many PC as you want but Microsoft will only ACTIVATE THE FIRST ONE. The rest will usually functions for 30 days as trial versions. OEM version also works like that. The RETAIL version has the feature of being able to transfer up to a 3rd PC BUT only one is activated at any time.
