Which computer should i choose?
I’m a little stumped. Today, I found these great deals on two computers, but i can’t seem to get the right one.
I wanted a gaming computer, and i can’t seem to choose between which one is better.
One: One is a HP a6452f, REINFURBISHED computer
it has
* Model Number: HP a6452f Refurbished
* CPU: Intel Pentium Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2.4GHz
* Memory: 3GB PC2-6400 DDR2 SDRAM
* Video: Nvidia GeForce 8500GT, 512MB
* Hard Drive: 640GB, SATA, 7200rpm
* Optical Drive: DVDRW DL RAM Drive
* Network: 10/100/1000 ethernet connection
* Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit
And the other one is a Gateway GT5692
That has a AMD Phenom™ 8450 Processor, 64-bit Triple Core Processor , and comes with 64 BIT VISTA.
* AMD Phenom™ 8450 Processor, 64-bit Triple Core Processor
* ATI® Radeon™ HD 3200 Graphics
* 4GB DDR2 Dual-Channel Memory, 500GB SATA II (7200RPM, 8MB Cache) Hard Drive
* 18x DVD?R/RW SuperMulti Drive featuring Labelflash™ Technology
* 8-Channel (7.1) High Definition Audio
* High-Performance 15-in-1 Digital Media Card Reader with Smart Copy Button
* 6 – USB 2.0 Ports (2 Front, 4 Rear)
* 1 – HDMI Port (Rear)
* 1 – IEEE 1394 Port (Rear)
* Amplified Stereo Speakers (USB Powered)
* Elite Multimedia Keyboard
* USB Optical 2-Button Wheel Mouse
* Windows Vista® Home Premium 64-bit edition with Service Pack 1
* AMD® 780G Chipset w/Hybrid Graphics
* Classic System Design with Brushed Silver Faceplate
And the Gateway computer is BRAND NEW.
I don’t know which one, because 1, the HP one has another processors (quad-core)
the other has 3, but it has another gig of ram, and 64- bit vista.
which one is better?
AND THEY ARE THE SAME PRICE

Well to be honest, I wouldnt get either, I would just build my own. I know that you are thinking that you don’t have that much computer knowledge, but take it from a person who didnt either. Before I built my comp, I had never even seen the inside of a comp with my own eyes. But I ended up building my own comp and it booted nicely on my first try. It played Crysis on highest everything, with AA x8 and Vsync turned on with smooth framerates. And another thing is that it cost a lot less. That rig cost me $940, and when I looked up a prebuilt comp with same specs, the lowest price was $1430. So what am I trying to say? It’s better to go build your own comp, it’s not as hard as it seems and it costs less, go to newegg.com to see different parts and prices and put together a comp and I promise you it will cost less than you think. If you want help email me at aceboy117@aim.com and I will show you how I learned to build my own comp.

What’s the price? I would take the Q6600. Well, no…that isn’t true. I’d build one myself.
My #1 Computer: Gigabyte Mobo, Intel C2Q Q9450 o/c to 2.84, 4Gb RAM, Zotac 8800GT, HT Omega Striker, Soprano Case, Behringer MS-20 Speakers, Enermax Keyboard. Roughly 4Tb HDD space (I do Video Editing and collect anime). Westinghouse 24"
My #2 Computer: Shuttle SD30G2 Plus, Intel C2D E6850, 4Gb RAM, EVGA 8800GT, HT Omega Striker, DVD Burner. 500Gb & 250Gb HDD. (Dedicated) Shares a 19" LG with #3.
My #3 Computer: Shuttle SD30G2 Plus, Intel C2D E6600, 4Gb RAM, PNY 8800GT, HT Omega Striker, DVD Burner, 750Gb HDD. (Dedicated)
My #4 Computer: Just leftover parts. Thermaltake LanBox Lite, E4300, Gigabyte Board 2Gb RAM. DVD Burner, Syba Sound Card (C-Media), EVGA 8800GS. Gateway 19". (This box is like Gomez Adams’ trains…I trash it until it blows up…then try some other parts. LOL
No brags…just thought you might like to see 4 different builds.
I have the a6452f, it is AMAZING!!! Quad Processors are fast!
