Can A Hp pavilion slimline s5150t run windows virtual pc and windows xp mode on windows 7 ultimate?10 points!?
I was planning to get a hp pavilion slimline s5150t and was wondering if it’s processor supports Hardware virtualization technology. Here are the specs: intel core 2 quad 2.5ghz (q9300) proccesor. 8 gb ddr3 ram. 640gb hd.512mb video card.It has windows vista home premuim, but I was going to install windows 7 ultimate.I know that the computer can run windows 7 and virtual pc and windows xp mode ok but I don’t have a clue if the processor supports Hardware virtualization technology.I know how enable it if it’s not enabled but I don’t know if the processor supports the Hardware virtualization technology.I want to buy the pc,install windows 7 and then install windows xp mode and windows virtual pc so I can Run my old programs. The windows xp mode and windows virtual pc requires the Hardware virtualization technology. So can I install windows virtual pc and windows xp mode or not?I can’t run the tool that microsoft provides to check if my computer supports it cause I don’t have the computer with me. I don’t want any advice,I just want a yes or no and some detail.I prefer more then 3 answers.

The answer is YES, it will. The reason I say this is because HP has Windows 7 drivers for your computer:

This means that you can install W7 Ultimate and then install the XP Virtual desktop. Apparently, I cannot find the specs to see how much memory you have – so if you don’t have enough memory you may not – this is the only apparent restriction I can see. You may need to install more memory to overcome the lack of memory…if your computer takes it. I would imagine your computer can handle at least 4 gigs of memory.
Your fine, I run VPC XP Mode every day on my e8400.
