Help me build my PC?
Im building a PC i’m considering buying. Here are the specs:
-CPU: AMD Phenom™ X3 8400 Triple-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology
-MOTHERBOARD: Asus M2N SLI NVIDIA nForce 560 SLI MCP Chipset DDR2/800 SATA RAID PCI-Express MBoard w/GbLAN, IEEE1394, USB2.0, &7.1Audio
-MEMORY: 2GB (2×1GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory
-VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express
-HARD DRIVE: Single Hard Drive (250GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 8MB Cache 7200RPM HDD)
-Optical Drive: LG 20X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER
I know its not the best, but im going for affordable gaming equipment.
1.) Will this run todays games? (COD4, Gears of War, ETC.)
2.) Will it run "Tommorows" games, upcoming within the next year? (After one year i will buy new parts to upgrade it and take it to a computer store and have them install it…)
3.) Make any suggestions, im still new at this stuff.

Yes this will be a great Computer. AMD Asus and Nvidia make good stuff I have the HDMI version of the motherboard and it is great. As you see it this is directx9c compatible all top games now and Directx10 the future generation. So lots of yummy graphics. For hard gaming you may want to put 1066 memory if you can. You don’t say if you are running XP or Vista, My recommended would be XP as it is tested and less resource hungry
well i have seen many computers with this i think it should work
i would go with the current hard drive or a little bigger for games
i would look into an ati video cards its what i have and its great!!! nvidia get the job done but not as well as an ATI
