My computer is getting a lot of viruses and I don’t have the money to get the spyware. Is there something I can download?

Spybot is a free anti-spyware. http://www.safer-networking.org
I’ve been using it and it’s great.
For a free anti-virus, you can also pick AVG. free.avg.com/
I don’t buy these too and it’s ok. Just keep off bad sites and ads.
you mean anti-spyware, download Malware Bytes and Super anti spyware
update them, then do a quickscan with both
Avast, or avg for antivirus, and malwarebytes or super anti spyware for spyware, and firefox browser for safer browsing, along with the addons, wot, adblock plus and noscript, and of course your firewall. With all that you should be fine.
OMG..it is such a shame that this country allows every computer-illeterite person access to the public internet.
So sad and tragic.
Just start stealing software using Limewire or any other P2P file-sharing program and you will have all the spyware you can handle. Plenty of viruses, trojans, and adware. Worms too!
And all for free!
Or just ask Obama….he loves giving out free stuff to the dregs of the world!
Do this on-line scan first : http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
only if you might be worried that you could be infected now.
then go and get avast for full time protection,
you can not get a better anti virus system for free.
it has many features you will have to pay for in other systems.
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
don’t forget to register or you will only have it for 60 days
by registering you will get a license for a full year.
just re-register at the end of the year to get another one year license.
if you feel you would be even safer with a software firewall
then
try this one it’s also free and it has no conflicts with avast
http://www.pctools.com/firewall/
or this one
http://free.agnitum.com/
and if you don’t like the look of avast then try Avira
http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html
the trouble with this one is the pop ups nagging you to buy a full system
and the relentless false positives.
or another good free one is Microsoft Security Essentials
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
you have a few choices here
just pick what looks good to you
they all work well remember
you must only have one anti virus system running
on your computer at any time.

If you really do care about your computer than you would get a PAID antivirus/internet security suite irrespective of the cost, because if you think about it, the cost of getting a paid antivirus/security suite, is nothing, compared to the cost of not getting one, time lost from a bad computer right through to the money wasted on fixing avoidable problems had u went out and got one in the first place!
I wouldn’t even trust free spyware scanners either …if i were you.
Invest in Bitdefender, it’s money well spent if you asked me!
By the way, you honestly need to be educated on how to use the internet if you’re getting alot of spywares etc on your computer. Stay off those dodgy sites and those illegitimate softwares with P2P networks plus torrents and you’re computer will never have to go through these problems. If ever you do end up in these places, dont expect to come out free of spyware, worms, trojanz and viruses! These are just the consequences you should face for not adopting cautious practices while surfing the net
