What is the difference between Malware and spyware?

I have an anti virus/spyware, and I was wondering what the anti malware utilities do that mine doesnt?

I disagree with wiki answers. Malware in the general term for any code running on your computer installed with malicious intent and without your informed consent. It includes adware, spyware, viruses, trojans, worms, keyloggers, etc. Below is a link to another definition that is more to my liking. Take your pick.
