USB HUBS for very old PC's. what would you recommend?

I was helping my friend out today to download a software on her computer. she is not a very technical person. technology is alien to her.
her pc ‘box’ is very old..
so i download the software and drivers. only to find that she has absolutely no USB ports AT ALL.
so now i’m wondering what are her options?
I’ve seen USB Hubs but they connect to a USB on your pc and my friend has NONE.
she cant really afford a new computer and like i said hers works fine and is considerably fast considering.
so what can she do?

I could give you a solid answer If I had the PC model or Motherboard model.
Open the case and look for 5 pins,that would most likely support USB’s
