what xbox 360 game has the most people playing live?

I wanted to buy an xbox 360 game mainly for going on live, but i wanted a game that has alot of live users on it. What is a short list of games with alot of live users??

without a doubt Call of Duty 4
it is the funnest and most played Xbox Live game
mostly halo 3 and call of duty 4
Generally all the games have a list of ppl that play.
Usally the lastest game that is out has the most ppl
Soon to be Gears OF WAR 2

i think cod 4 is most popular at the moment but if i was you i would wait till around november when gears of war 2 comes out, itll probably be the most played online, ever!
plus a new game will be flooded with online players at least alot more than older releases.
