if i download a trial of windows 7 will it erase all my files and my Windows VISTA im using. so if the trial expires will i have to reinstall windows vista again?
the problem is that my technician put vista on my pc i don’t have any other windows discs. so i wanna be safe so i don’t fu** my pc up

If you install Windows 7, you need to do a complete backup of all you files! Then once the beta testing is over you will need to completely REINSTALL Vista from scratch!!! So if you don’t have a master copy of Vista OS, DO NOT install the Beta of Windows 7!!
Don’t bother. Windows 7 is just Vista Jr.
It will not kill the files if you choose the upgrade option in the installation. You will not have to reinstall windows until you get a product key for windows 7. They haven’t finished the os yet so there are probably no keys yet
Leave the matter alone. The improvement in the beta release is not that impressive and will expire in August
yes windows 7 requires a full format of the hard drive to install it
When you install Win 7 it will perform an upgrade and keep you files, but at the end of the beta program in August you will need to have backed up your files by then and re-install vista. If you want to try Win 7 i suggest you create a separate partition on your hard drive or run it in virtual machine.
WIndows 7 is far better the Vista. Its basically Vista fixed and with a new task bar.
you will have to make recovery disks for vista before installing wimdows 7 unless you dual boot with vista also win 7 is beta which means you may have problems with programs since that is how they fix problems. also you will loose your files if you don’t back them up to disk
you should be able to select if you want to format your pc or not, also you can just upgrade windows vista to windows 7….
