A lot of people use these to get away from the drama of public schools and expenses of private school but still allowing the kids to have fun.

Some examples>>>>

-DVD schools
"You go to class on the tv, and watch your teacher teach, you can rewind and play over your classes and call your teacher whenever."

- Virtual Live Cyber-schools
"You go online in a virtual live online classroom world with a teacher and a board and interact with you 10-20 classmates, through notes, mikes, and writing tablets. With field trips often, new technology, along with the blackboard.com system and only about 10 hours a week of classes!!"
You also can choose from hundreds of classes and meet tons of students >>>>>>> online cyberschools

New technologies: materials, manufacturing, propulsion, testing, information flow among others.

Improved overall aircraft and spacecraft design. Improved parts. Improved aerodynamics.

There must be many new developments regarding the previous topics in science and engineering.

Isn’t it feasible to build a new Space Shuttle which is safer, more robust, more capable than the actual ones with so much new technology (named above) available today?

It would be like comparing 1980 vs 2007’s technology.
