Just any reason at all…

When I turn on my macbook it turns blue and the apple logo comes on. But then the logo goes away and a gray circle crossed out shows up! I didn’t drop it or download it or anything! BTW my macbook is about 3-4 years old.

We have an apple desktop computer , have been for a couple months . but now we’re wishing we bought a macbook instead , is there any way we can exchange it for one ?
