Computer backup? External hard drive or online storage?
I have 2 laptops that I want to back up but are torn between buying an external hard drive (what size 500 gb or 2 tb?) or subscribe to an online service such as Carbonite or Mozy (Safety? Separate accounts for each laptop?). Can someone with experience & an opinion help me? I can buy a 500 gb from TigerDirect for about the same price these cloud services charge for 1 year storage. I travel a lot so instant access is important. Any suggestions?
Can anyone recommend a free online storage solution that does *not* sync?
I’m looking for some online storage. Basically, I want Google Documents. Except that I have some documents that I consider personal, and Google doesn’t allow for per-document security, so I want to move them off somewhere else. I thought a good online hard drive would be the answer. I’ve looked at SugarSync, which seems great and all, but an application has to be installed and I honestly don’t want things to "sync." I want just an online folder where I can drag and drop a file, preferably without installing anything on my machine. Smartphone access would be nice, but not necessary. Can anyone recommend something that fits this description?
Can you use a different brand external super drive to watch actual dvds on a Macbook Air?
A few Apple ipad questions?
hi, i’m interested in buying an apple ipad, but need to know if it will fulfill my computer needs… First of all, is it even a computer??
I’m primarily looking for 3 features, could you please tell me if the legendary ipad2 has them?
1. Can it run microsoft word in its full format?
2. Does it have a dvd drive and usb flash drives?
3. Can it run applications like adobe photoshop?
And which is the latest, ipad 2 or 3? Thanks a ton if you could help. Truly appreciate it, thanks.
