I actually still use physical dvds and cds. Apple sells one specifically for the Macbook Air but can you use one by and different brand (one for a PC)?

Recently, when cleaning out my room, I found some old CDs, DVDs, as well as VHS tapes that I honestly forgot I had. Also stumbling upon a stereo, DVD player, and VHS player I decided that I hadn’t used any of the stuff in at least 2 years with digital content from iTunes and other sources. I looked through everything and I decided I did not need them. So I binned the CDs,DVDs, and the tapes as well as the stereo, and DVD and VCR equipment. I threw away at least 6 bags of stuff regarding physical media, and I have all of that stuff on my compact laptop.

So this brings me to the question — I threw away that stuff last month and honestly I haven’t even missed it one bit. So.. is physical media dead and hard drive storage and cloud storage in our future?

So does a 3D-TV turn everything into 3D even non-3D shows or DVDs? or it only works for special channels that display in 3D and DVD/Blu-Rays that come with 3D?

Or is there a specific 3D-TV that transforms everything into 3D automatically?

I’m considering buying a MacBook. I have done some research, but I couldn’t figure out a couple things. One, can you insert disks into a MacBook? Like CDs or DVDs? Is there a spot on the computer where you can put disks into or is it one of those computers where you can’t put a disk in? I’m not talking about a MacBook Pro, I mean just the regular MacBook. Can you also change the desktop background?
