What do I do when my version of Microsoft Application Virtualization is incompatible with the version of Microsoft Office click-to-run?

I use an online (cloud) back up service that only backs up from the main drive. The main drive on my pc has quickly filled up and I want to store my data elsewhere, while keeping it backed up through my online service. I want the computer to think of external drives as internal or on board so I can back them up too. I’m running Windows 7 Home Premium. Any way to trick the system? Thanks!
