I am new to ebay and i was just wondering if i bought an iphone 4 if it would work for verizon?

recently had my Verizon Iphone stolen. I heave heard conflicting reports that the thief can/cannot use it because it does not have a sim card. Was also wondering why ebay and craig’s list does not require sellers to list the serial and MEID numbers on products, especially jail broken, bad esn, and unlocked phones. Any answers to either issue would be appreciated.

I found a never-been activated iphone 4 on craigslist that I’m looking at buying, but before I do so, does anyone know how you can activate it? I can go to a Verizon store, but if there’s an easier way that I can activate it in the presence of the original owner so I don’t end up scammed, I’d love to know as soon as possible! thanks so much!

I just got my iPhone 4 maybe two weeks ago and at certain times during the day i will be texting people and no one will get my texts, even though it says they sent. If you know anything please help! Thanks:)
